Comment: Very compact and easy setup. Works with any 3g dongle - I used an Orange connection and a friends o2 connection. Wireless Network found immediately and locked onto. Also comes with cable to connect wired network (ease of set up for encrypting). Worked well and very fast - impressed. Got around 3 hours from battery but will work whilst charging. Be aware that your data allowance is not shown as it connects via hotspot. Definitely worth the money especially with Apple products as tethering is locked.

Comment: Worked straight away out of the box with my Vodafone 3g pay monthly dongle - i was amazed!
had a couple of hitches connecting my iphone to it (seems to get it wireless encryption in a knot) but i am not sure if that may be the iphone :-)
The only thing i would be careful off - its not fast enough to handle VPN's - with the dongle plugged into a laptop i can create a VPN straight off - plugged into the zoom, it will not register on the network. it may be settings, but i dont think so.
all in all a great little product - i have taken it on holiday to share a signal with all of the families gadgets without a hitch.
as usual 3g is rubbish at big files, but thats not zooms fault.

Comment: I bought this for a recent business trip as I had to use my laptop and another device and I only had one USB key. It worked out of the box. On returning to the UK I used an O2 modem and this required a bit of configuration but once complete this also worked. If you are looking for a solution that provides WifI to one or more devices using a USB modem then you have found it. !!!

Summary: Excellent & Easy to use
Comment: I use a number of 3G dongles (3 mobile, O2 & T-mobile). Configuration was very simple and quick. It does require a basic knowledge of wi-fi but it is really basic knowlegde. It feeds my laptop with Win 7, a Win 7 starter Netbook and an old Linux netbook. You can get a really good signal by placing the box in an optimal postion for the network signal and then the laptop etc in a convenient location to work. Idea for use in hotels were the mobile signal is often poor within the room and you would have to postion yourself near to a window to get the dongle working: with Zoom the problem is solved.

Battery life is 3-4 hours on full charge. For longer sessions you can plug in the charger while using.

My old Linux netbook can only drive older dongles. It would be quite a pain to find and update the drivers. With Zoom, I put the new dongle in the zoom and all the new one connect to the Linux netbook by wi-fi.

The only snag is that it is not quite as easy to work out how much of the data quota has been used.

My only regret is that I did not by one sooner.
