Summary: good but not great
Comment: I thought that this would be a great product to back up my entire hard drive. It says install the software and you can back up everything. This is not really true because if you have 2 hard drives the software will not auto backup the non-system drive. You can of course just drag and drop. It just didnt do as I thought it would. I suggest only getting this if you have 1 hard drive.

Summary: Great Portable Hard Disk
Comment: Pros:
* Great portable hard disk with a reputable brand name. We have another 2 portable and 1 normal WD hard disks and until now they have never failed us.
* Good looking and sturdy casing
* Simple to use with plug & play
* No external power supply...uses same usb for data transfer to power its self

Cons:
* Had to make a cover for it because the glossy black plastic cover gets scratched quite easily and soon wear and tear takes over its looks....this is purely aesthetic!
* WD driver that comes with this disk is quite annoying and I prefare to refrain from using it....but an installation window keeps popping up each time you plug in the device just before the plug and play window comes up

Suggestions
* Make a cover for it as soon as you get hold of it....I made one myself for it and mine is still in pristine condition and still looks perfectly glossy and new.

There are cheaper products on the market....but you wont be getting the same product quality as this device.

Summary: V Good External Portable Hard Drive
Comment: This Hard Drive is of a v good size with excellent storage space. The only critisism is that it generally needs to be on a flat surface to operate correctly. It can occasionally have difficulties linking into Laptops if not horizontal. Otherwise, it is very good and has travelled round the world providing great storage.

Comment: when i first ordered this is was pleased, i thought it was really good looking and would be easy to use but it wouldn't work and i kept on getting error messages, and in the end i got bored with it and sent it back. its good looking but it should be easy to use like a memory stick, (with a memory stick you dont have to download some software)
