Summary: 10 free games..... possibly.
Comment: Potential buyers need to be aware, there is currently a big issue with the 10 free games offer, namely many people aren't recieving the emails which contain the code for the free games. Sony advise that the code will arrive no later than 30 days after downloading the theme onto the PSP, and will usually arrive within one week. Unfortunately, in many cases this is not happening, leading to frustrated customers (myself included) waiting for weeks on end, recieving little or no help from Sony customer service and wondering if this offer is one big con. Check out the Playstation Network forum for yourself to appreciate the scale of the problem.

Summary: Good Kit
Comment: I am an old school gamer, but have always played on bigger consoles, ie SNES, PS1,2 and 3, but saw this offer and thought may as well give it a go. So far I have been impressed with the console itself, and love using the connect to my ps3 to watch my films as long as I have a decent connection. There are quite a few demos available and the fact that it connects via bluetooth to a PS3 controller makes it even nicer for gaming as those with big hands will find it slightly pressed...The service from amazon was spot on, and it arrived within the standard 3-5 days, actually arrived on the 3rd day, so was pleased with that. Then comes the saga with trying to get the free games. So far I have been waiting for a week and unfortunately, I am still waiting for the "codes" to be sent from Sony. I called their office in London only to be told to expect to wait for the 30 days and basically not to complain until then. That's the only let down, which is clearly not amazon's fault. Apart from that, I would have been happy to award five stars for this lovely bit of kit.

Summary: Great idea very poorly executed!
Comment: Hi - like other people we are really disappointed with the execution of Sony's PSP Go. It is complicated and very un-user friendly to set up - Sony please employ someone from Apple's usability department quickly! Getting the voucher code and installing the software then registering is just a complete schelp so give yourself an hour or two. The PSP Go only works with certain WiFI security protocols and we had to change our entire WiFi security to allow it to join our home network. The other comments around the time taken to download the games is spot on - do the overnight download to a PC and then install. The Sony software is not Mac compatible either. Once you've gone through the pain barrier it works well (we didn't have an older PSP so we didn't suffer the injustice of game compatibility). Frankly if you can, go for the Nintendo DS or Wii!

Comment: Non existent instructions meant it wasn't clear exactly how games could be put on the console, all info had to be found on the Internet. Location of the on button means you easily switch it off by accident during game play.

Comment: the psp go was my first psp so the first major flaw on everybodys list was ticked off no umd slot but that didnt bother me as i have no umds. The list of psp go pros and cons are honetly endless (for parents reading this review umd's are the little discs you insert in the back of the original psp)

Pros

1. 16 gb of internal memory
2. can make the total units storage up to 32gbs
3. easy to use
4. small and compact.
5.you dont have to worry about umds getting scratched
6.small and a lot more portable than old chunkier psp
7.download time for games is speedy
8. can stop games in the middle of whatever your doing completely turn it off and you can come back to it (never been seen in any handheld console
9. you can customise your screen setting so it will end up smoother and clearer than the older psps

cons (and there are loads for thos who own umds)

1. no umd conversion proccess
2 cant buy prewowned games they are sold at the price microsoft sees fit which is not a small one
3.can sell umd's to get a fraction of your money back
4. if you dont back up your games and something happens to your psp go your in trouble you would have to load your eintire game library all over again.
5. sony practically abondend there previous products
6. 16gb runs out quite quickly could probably hold 8 games and a couple of movies
7. only one analog stick unlike the previous models which have 2
8.have to make an account and the only way to buy games is via credit card
9.if console cuts out or download ends be4 completion you have to redownload it again although this has only happend to me once.
10.battery time is only 4 hours 30 minutes exact same as older models but unlike the older you cant change the battery so it has a longer life but the psp gos battery is locked down harder than fort knoxx behind the battery case and what not
11. if you have bigger hands the psp go will fit very uncomfortably in your hands but you will get used to it over time

overall the psp go isnt a upgraded psp more like a side partner if your turning from the ds side to the psp side psp go is probably the handiest as you have no umds so you dont need to buy all your old games back.

the psp go is a much have for people who dont have umds and would like a portable console with the joy of not carrying umds or ds cartridges in your pocket but there is the problem of buying games of psn (play station network) which means your spending 40 pounds on a game which you get from gamestation for like 28 pounds if your looking at the longer view and want to spend less psp 3000 is for you but if you want a new sleek console and want to spend less time in the shop and more time on the sofa this is for you.

i forgot to mention one feature that the psp go can do you can buy movies (nothing new ) but you can rent movies which is handy

overall this product is 4 stars in my eyes so i would reccomend this to all first time psp go buyers
