Summary: Simple, but high standard
Comment: -- Good --
- Very simple menus
- Very good satellite accuracy
- Feels durable
- Easy-to-use interface
- Perfect for beginner geocachers

-- Bad --
- Nothing at all, considering the price

This item is bottom of the range, yes, but it performs very well and does what it's supposed to do. Easy to mark waypoints, navigate to waypoints, create routes etc.
If you're a beginner geocacher, trust me, buy this!

Summary: For Walkers
Comment: An excellent GPS for walkers at entry level. It should be used in conjunction with maps. The instruction manual does not explain fully, how to enter waypoints. You will need help in mastering this. Heavy on batteries and therefore high powered rechargeable batteries are recommended.

Summary: an amazing little gadget
Comment: I had no previous experience of gps receivers. My purpose in buying one was to measure accurately distances walked. I had struggled with pedometers which I had found too inconsistent to be relied on. They depended utterly on the accurate in-putting of pace length and the consistency of pace length when walking. As I am planning an extended and rather daunting trail walk in Europe I want to know what exactly I will have achieved. I did not need a mapping facility in the gps as I shall be walking a marked trail and will have the relevant paper map and a magnetic compass.
So much for what I required in a gps. When I started to use the receiver I was staggered by the amount of information it could give about any trip - average speed overall, average speed moving, total time, time stopped, sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset, eta at a chosen destination, remaining distance to the destination, super accurate clock time, etc., etc. I am a regular walker and, when I return from my trip, I look forward to using the many features of this great little gadget.

Summary: Interesting gadget
Comment: Unfamiliar with the world of GPS I purchased this out if interest rather than need. It is a fascinating gadget which does what it says on the tin - but not a substitute for a map and compass. This model is not suitable for the pursuit of geo-caching.

There is a brief instruction book and CD which comes as part of the package. Being used to massive manuals that seem to come as part of the package I was disappointed at the brevity of information supplied. It helps you to find your way around the device, but you are still left wondering what some of it means as this is not made clear, even on the CD.
