Summary: OK sound but not good to use
Comment: The noise isolating seems to work OK. I don't need high volume all the time and external noise is definitely muffled. Trouble is I find them very uncomfortable. I have tried all three sizes of the plastic ends, but they all irritate the ear canal so I end up ripping them them out and scratching furiously - like a dog with fleas. The metal looking grid has disappeared from one earphone already after only a few weeks. Don't where it is - perhaps it is in my ear. I have trouble getting the right earphone into my ear, but once in it stays there. The left one keeps falling out. So, not good for me, but the sound is OK. Other reviewers have mentioned how the cable can cause a noise through the earphones when it moves against your body. I agree this is a problem - quite annoying. I only use them now when I really need the noise isolation.

Summary: Good value for money
Comment: I need noise-isolating in-ear phones for walking to work with traffic around. I had some good Sennheiser ones but they failed and I didn't want to keep spending that amoun of money. Got these for [] quid from a Marketplace seller. They're not quite such a good sound as the Sennheiser CX300-II but pretty good nevertheless. Clear bass but not brain-mangling. The mid-range seems a bit crisp but really, if you can get them for this price they're excellent value. Especially if they last longer than a year..........

Comment: Bought these because my Sennheiser CX300s had given up the ghost. These are ok but not fantastic. This is mainly due to the fact that they just don't sit right in my ears. In fact, they are a little bit uncomfortable, to tell the truth. I've worn the Sennheisers under a bike helmet with no problems and lying down against the pillow in bed with no discomfort. But not these. Sound is ok but when these fail (as they surely will), I won't be replacing them with the same.

Comment: I was bought a top of the range ipod for my 63rd. birthday but I cannot use the ear phones typically supplied with this player so I invested in a reasonably priced set. I chose the EP 830 based upon the make, Creative are very good, and the price, very reasonable. They proved to be comfortable in fact you cannot feel them in normal use and the sound reproduction is fantastic. There is next to no leakage and the bass is just right without being overly loud. I can highly recommend these to anyone.
